This Privacy Policy explains how EVLİYA DİYAR KAYA (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Aura mobile application (the “App”). By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Onboarding responses. Answers you give during onboarding (e.g. sleep preferences, mood goals) are stored on your device to personalise the App experience.
- Settings & favourites. Preferences such as sleep timer defaults, favourite moods, and notification choices.
- Subscription information. If you purchase a premium subscription, the purchase is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive only the receipt / entitlement status (not your card details).
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Anonymous account identifier. On first launch, the App creates an anonymous Firebase Authentication ID. This ID is not linked to your name, email, or phone number unless you later choose to sign in.
- Usage and diagnostic data. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics such as screens visited, sessions started, audio tracks played, app version, OS version, device model, language, and crash reports.
- Approximate location. Inferred from your IP address by our analytics provider at country level. We do not collect precise GPS location.
1.3 Information we do not collect
- We do not collect your real name, email, or phone number unless you provide it.
- We do not access your microphone, camera, photos, contacts, or precise location.
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the App.
- To personalise audio recommendations based on your onboarding responses.
- To deliver and verify premium subscriptions and entitlements.
- To diagnose crashes and improve stability.
- To understand how features are used so we can improve them.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to operate the App. Each is bound by its own privacy policy and contractual data-protection obligations.

4. Data Storage and Security
Information processed by Firebase is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure with data centres located primarily in the United States and the European Union. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS / TLS) and at rest. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
5. Data Retention
- Local data (preferences, favourites, cached audio) is kept on your device until you delete the App or clear its storage.
- Anonymous identifiers and analytics are retained for up to 14 months by default, after which they are automatically deleted or aggregated.
- Subscription receipts are retained for as long as your subscription is active and afterwards as required by tax and accounting laws.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate information.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your data.
- Objection / restriction — ask us to stop processing your data for certain purposes.
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.

Residents of the European Economic Area may also lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA / CPRA, including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell personal information).
7. Children’s Privacy
Aura is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. International Users
If you access the App from outside Türkiye, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries that may have different data-protection laws than your own. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
